Over the past 10 years, Arnold Christian Ramsland of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, has focused on clean energy applications for wind turbines at the helm of Ramsland Technology, LLC. This effort has led to five patents, two publications and one presentation at American Wind Energy Association.

For more than three decades prior, Arnold Christian Ramsland served as a leader of the quality team at Hoffmann-LaRoche, overseeing the development and validation of a wide range of drugs. Several products he helped bring to market continue to save lives globally. While there, his accomplishments include refining the methods chemists employ in compound testing and analysis, employing techniques such as particle size, robotic, near infrared, and chromatographic (HPLC and GC). Arnold Christian Ramsland developed a pioneering laser diffraction validation procedure that helped identify impurities by comparing results with microscopical analysis. The new method of validating drugs helped avoid costly and protracted product recalls.

An active voice in his field, Mr. Ramsland regularly attended American Chemical Society conferences. His interests include applying quantitative strategies in S&P 500 stock market trading.
